Where to Eat? (As suggested by Village Residents)

Pizza Box Restaurant (Low-cost, quick)
Located on Bleecker Street between Sullivan & Thompson. The Pizza Box provides the ideal place to grab a good pizza, hero sandwich or calzone without spending a lot of money. Features garden patio seating behind the restaurant. Prices range from $1.50 for a slice of pizza to about $3 .50 for a hero sandwich. Beer available on premises.

Panchitos (Medium-cost, easy paced)

Located on Mcdougal Street between Bleecker and West 3rd Street, this friendly yet large Mexican restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining in multiple large rooms. It also features a good mix of drinks (including Margarita's). A great place for groups as well as couples.

Reservoir (Medium-cost, easy paced)
Located on La Guardia Place, between West 10th & West 11th street, this tavern/restaurant features a pool table, darts, and acoustic music (Sunday night only). Standard menu includes burgers, salads, sandwiches, and is augmented each day with a list of daily specials. Prices run from $4 to $12.

Waverly Inn (Higher-cost, relaxing)
Historic Restaurant on West 4th Street & Waverly place west of 7th avenue. You must look for this place, as it is nestled in a beautiful residential area. Features indoor and outdoor (very discreet, behind the Inn), seating for lunch and dinner, fine dining. Prices range from $6 to $18.

Porto Bello (Higher -cost, busy)

Located on Thompson Street between Bleecker and West 3rd Street (closer to Bleecker). This restaurant has fabulous Italian food. Can get crowded during normal dinner hours. You may want to consider eating at off-hours, but definitely worth the effort.
