Joe Budnick - Songwriter/Musician

Joe Budnick spent much of his early music career backing R&B artists. In 1981 Joe wrote "Keep On Playing" a loud rock song about musicians who were unwilling to accept other types of music. It was recorded in 1981, by Just Friends on Underground Records, as the B-side to "New Wave Is What We Want." "Keep On Playing" was also featured in a news piece on ABC television, about an impending baseball strike. Since then Joe has been performing many of his original songs in clubs around Greenwich Village. He is routinely seen in television news clips and in New York City Tourism Books in the U.S. and in numerous countries around the world. Joe is frequently filmed and photographed by international news crews in Greenwich Village. According to Joe ". . .when the weather isn't too cold, the best place to play is Washington Square Park on the weekends . . "

Joe also donates time to charities, singing and playing guitar with many of New York's best underground R&B and Rock Musicians. Some of his latest songs include, "Is She That Sweet" and "I've Got My Eye on You" In addition to songwriting, Joe produces other artists.
